I had a weird curiosity phone call that came in recently that questioned if I’m registered to vote for Obama or McCain.   Well, the answer is, yes I’m registered to vote.

Have you received the “Don’t Vote Youtube Video” email? The video stars a group of celebrities that began the show with a sarcastic “don’t vote” message. 

Actually the presenters in the video by Leonardo DiCaprio are Amy Adams, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Bacon, Halle Berry, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Connolly, Courteney Cox, Ellen DeGeneres, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Jonah Hill, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Kiedis, Ashton Kutcher, Adam Levine, Laura Linney, Eva Longoria, Tobey Maguire, Demi Moore, Natalie Portman, Giovanni Ribisi, Ethan Suplee, Kyra Sedgwick, Michelle Trachtenberg, Usher, Forest Whitaker, and Will.I.Am.

What a cute video that ends with a “do vote”!  However, the greater concern should be “Who you’re voting for“.

Even though I’ve taken a decision making graduate course, I’m reading and reviewing Bishop T.D. Jakes “Before You Do” book.  The book is a good refresher for me and it points out 5 Crucial Components for coming up with a decide for marriage or perhaps an election…

1. Research:  gathering information and collecting data
2. Roadwork:  removing obstacles and clearing the path
3. Rewards:  listing choices and imagining their consequences
4. Revelation:  narrowing your options and making selection
5. Rearview:  looking back and adjusting as necessary to stay on course
